I have a 2008 tundra currently sitting on 35’s with a 6inch lift, I’m thinking about 37’s or even a body lift and 40’s. how do these tundras axles and differentials hold up to much bigger tires ?? Keeping in mind that I do a lot of off roading and some pretty intense trails so the truck sees a lot of abuse!!

A lot of people run 37s or even 40s. I think it’s more about the abuse. You could drive dirt roads and be fine but jumping would change things. I say it depends. You can break an axle with stock tires on the wrong road.

    Steering also becomes an issue.

You will go farther with diff lockers and 35s than open diffs and 40s.

Agreed ! Lockers are definitely coming in the future ! Was actually thinking of a SAS in the future instead but we will see if I can afford it lol
