Just replaced the timing belt and water pump a few months ago, cracked the housing where the thermostat bolts up. I have it rigged up with a bolt and washers but I think it’s got a slight leak. I don’t remember but how far do I have to go to get a new pump in there? Does the crank and belt need to come off?

The timing belt has to come off to replace the water pump on the 4.7l engine

The upside is when it’s done right, one does have to worry about it for 100K !
