    Hi,

I have been studying about proximity sensors. Can anyone please explain me which type of sensors use in cars?

Honestly, I'm confused a bit now. I read here https://www.derf.com/an-overview-on-proximity-sensors/ they said, ultrasonic sensors and inductive most commonly used in military applications. Is there something I'm not understanding or both can be used.

    both can be used.

    need to consider the following

    sensitivity & accuracy
    corrosive environment
    temperature
    signal processing requirements
