I have my 2008 Tundra at the shop for gas Guage not working. First thought it was sending unit then they thought it was the gas tank now they say instrument cluster is bad and they cannot get the part. Dealership has been great but want truck back after 85 days. Is there something else to try?

I guess if it were me and I was gonna have to spend a shitload of money, I would keep an eye on the trip odometer and use that as my low tech gas gauge.

This assumes you have a good idea of your range between fill ups.

And might be good insurance to carry spare gas somehow, just in case.

Tanin electronix I'm dealing with them to repair an old Lexus ECU. They also repair dash components.

Get a used cluster off eBay and pay someone to program it for the mileage you have.

Do you have the info button on your dash? If so you can always use the distance to empty next to the clock until you can replace the gauge cluster. Check into the Optitron cluster if you need to replace it.
