    Hi folks,
I am going to start loading up my 2020 crewmax tundra with a whole load of gear.

I have made a maximum calculation of constant load, no occupants of 1031lbs. Let's not get into the details of what all of it is, but it will always be there, only thing that vary is the water tank, and the amount I load the fridge.

So would the sumo or timbres solid rubber spring helpers work over rough terrain to give me good control, and ride? Or do I need to change the leaves to higher constant load capacity, I can get some ironman ones here in Dubai, maybe Deaver, but not sure.

Shocks I may change later once the stock Bilstein have had there day.

For a constant weight over 1k, this is a reliable and solid rear setups:

    Springs: Dobinsons Heavy,
    Shackles: Coachbuilder,
Air bags: Firestone Airbags + Daystar cradles + Coachbuilder airbag spacers. Allows you to vary according to weight and have proven to be reliable.
    Shocks: Elka or OME.

Search for folks with Four Wheel Campers on the forum and you will see a few setups that come close to what you are trying to achieve.

Hey thanks, any reason why the sumo or Timbren are not going to be able to cope, it seems that the people who tow occasionally add the sumo or timbren bumpstops

Sumo and Timbren are good products but adjustable airbags with cradles provide more flexibility to dial in individual sides. Tundras are generally drivers side heavy and depending on your load the airbags can do a better job at leveling sides.

Plus you’re talking about a constant minimum load, not just towing the boat to the lake every few weekends.

What if in I leaf packs that can handle the constant load, ironman have a leaf pack that is either ending at 1000lbs, or begins with 1000lbs. Apologies for all the questions, but I am new to leak packs, my old car had could and just upgraded those for 700lbs constant load, and works well. The tundra will have a little more and the water varies.

To answer that you'll need to share a bit more information of how you are going to use the Tundra. It's one thing to have it hold the weight, it is another to have it do so and maintain technical trail worthiness. But Alcan and Deaver both can make you a custom leaf pack to your required weight specifications. Personally I have no experience with Ironman leafs.

The driving I will do will light to moderate dunes, and trails, articulation will not be needed to be increased. I really don't want to keep setting the shocks too much with remote reservoirs, and could just replace shocks when they fail. The rig is a family camping vehicle. I also don't need more than a 1" lift. I will fit maximum 34" or 33" tyres, so I use the factory spare tyre location.

If you dont want more articulation then maybe just add a leaf and air bags would fit your needs. I have timbren's for towing my trailer, but for an everyday load I would go bags. The ride is more adjustable and I think they are a better ride then the timbren's or sumo.
