I have a 97 F250 PS with a 7.3 and absolutely love it but it seems to need more and more maintenance. I spent more than 3k getting the front end rebuilt. The other day I grabbed the door handle to get out and it broke. It needs a speed sensor for the cruise control. The oil pressure sensor plastic cap is cracked so that needs replacing. It's little things like that seem to happen at the worst time. It was time for a new truck.

I looked at every brand and researched the problems that each has. I talked to friends that have other brands. I had it narrowed down between the Dodge and Tundra. A friend with a Doge steered me away form the dodge because of charging problems and control panel problems. I priced the Dodge Limited Longhorn, which is comparable to the Tundra 1794 and it was a chunk of change more for almost the same thing. I started looking for a 1794 then I realized the 1794 had a short bed and I wanted a long bed so I looked for a Limited DC. The supply is drying up in Colorado so I went back to the 1794. I wanted it in the Smoked Mesquite with the bed liner and the TRD Off Road package. I could only find one with the options I wanted so I bought it. It only took hassles with three sales people and four days to get there.

As far as mods go all I have done is leveled the floor and put covers in the back seat for the dog so that she doesn't drool all over the leather and scratch things up. There is a lift, new bumper, off road lights, new wheels and tires cooking in the future. I also ordered an A.R.E Z model topper but that won't be in until the end of June or the beginning of July.

I am not new to Toyota. I have had 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen 4runners. We still have the 3rd and 4th gen 4Runners. We bought them both new and I use the 3rd gen for a snow plow vehicle now. I just didn't have the heart to trade it in.

I am sure I will get more from this forum that I give. There is a mountain of knowledge here. I am just learning a little bit at a time. Thanks in advance.20210411_092824.jpg
