I haven't been able to use the remote on my vehicle so I took it to Toyota they said that the wireless door control receiver needs to be replaced in the truck. They say that this is going to be over $1,300 to fix. Do I just go to another repair shop or do I have to go to one of those audio places maybe?

You can get a better, less expensive Viper or Compustar system that gives you keyless entry and/or remote start. Don't pay $1300 to fix the OEM. Best Buy has deals on aftermarket systems with free installation sometimes.
