    Been in work for a while. Thought I found a smoking deal on Amazon for a color matched hood bulge for my father in-law so took a chance, I highly regret doing that lol. Took a lot of work but finally got the hood bulge to match and we just got it on. Had found a surround from when someone local upgraded to a Pro grille thru the dealership that matched his truck as well.
    FIL, loves this addition of white but now wants the grille insert painted, his door handles/mirror caps/and front bumper ends white too. Told him we can work on it!
    I will now start the long slow process of stripping the chrome and attempting to color match to my blue. This is not a priority and will be worked when I have time.

    Tow mirrors are on, couldn’t be happier!...loaded with features (BSM, power fold, heated, sequential switchback signals, led running lights with smoked lense, painted MGM to match, signals on glass, etc)...ran my spot lights to a switch instead of to just reverse lights and definitely glad I did, they’re crazy bright

    Woke up this morning and realized I had no plans for the day. So I decided to try my hand at a little painting and start my chrome delete. Everything was done with plastidip, just in case lol. Also added a shift boot and a small basic leather shift knob. Considered going with the TRD Tack shift knob, but wasn't sure I would like it. Spent $25 on a shift knob on Amazon, and I'm honestly liking it so far.

    New color matched hood bulge and TRD PRO grille from a '14-'17 with an AJT TSS relocation bracket for my '21 CM. Plus a little tri-color bling (muted...), I love the way this looks!

    Interestingly enough my wife is giving me s@#$ for taking off chrome and wants me to leave the bumper caps and mirrors alone. Not sure how I feel about this input...

    Maybe its not actually what 3M is... I just meant wrapping the new pieces in some kind of protective film to protect from bugs/rocks. I'm just paranoid because my old truck's front of the hood was just hammered with gravel pocks and I'm wondering what I can do to prevent my new truck from getting that way too (its getting a grille swap on day 1)

    Ah, gotcha. I haven’t heard of anything. I just swapped mine and the old surround was by far in the worst shape of the three pieces. Maybe someone makes a clear vinyl you could try that on surround and bulge. Then when it gets beat up just peel it off.
    At the end of the day it’s still a truck and it’s gonna get some dings.

    That's a clean thundercloud Sport 3rd gen! I just sold my '02 SR5 a few months ago. Didn't get driven much anymore and I like having the space in my garage. I got top dollar for it, $11K.
