SHOW THAT RAKE

- Outside of the trendy Level stance, some of us like the raked look more! It's also great for carrying weight to keep things balanced.
- Can you guys post pictures of your trucks with the Rake and how much Rake you have.
- Let's start this thread PLEASE. I'm trying to figure out how high to go on my new LEAFs still!

Ha! First thing I thought of when I read the title of the thread. I mean, there’s a really involved shovel thread on this forum, so....

 

Wow. Minutes later, we’ve progressed to rake porn.

 

2" rake post lift

 

2” rake unloaded. Front: 1.9” 6112 w/1 cb shim passenger side and 2 shims driver for about 2.5” total. Rear full OME leaf packs w/5160 shocks. Very functional setup and still looks pretty good if I may say so...although it would look even better with some bigger tires!

 

1/32" rake

 

The leaf springs and shocks were toast, and it still had a noticeable rake.



I did level it, but not by lifting the front.

 

When I think of "ideal rake" your pic comes to mind. Can you share with the community your setup again? If I remember correctly, it's Dobs Heavy.

The 2.25” dobinsons front and rear with the heavy leaf pack. I love it. Would not recommend the heavy leaf unless you’re truly carrying heavy. Think the medium pack they have is pretty heavy in itself. I have a slide in camper so I went big.

 

How much lift in the front and how much in the rear? What did you do to get your rear end lift? Did you use leafs? I love the color and the stance your truck has!!

Thanks bud. Yeah I totaled the old truck and had to start over. Been real busy and lazy lately so I haven’t really started building the new truck yet. Just got the suspension in. Link to the build is in my sig.

Stayed in Silverton last summer while exploring SAn Juan Forest. Life is better out there. Love that part of the world.

Silverton is my favorite, just bought a property up there and spend most of my free time up there. Hunting, fishing, hiking, biking and 4WD trails are tough to beat up there.
