Haha, so my reputation precedes me. Yes I’m ‘that guy’. The methods are 4.75 BS and the FNs are 4.5 BS. I do get scared that I’ll still have some rub to deal with.

The F5 looks too much like a car wheel to me unfortunately.

I think you guys are right. The Methods I’ve loved for years but the most I think about it the darker bronze will look better than the bright bronze/gold.
Still waiting for FN to call me when the TRD clones are in stock

got all my tires in today...They are 285/70R17 and are definitely a bit taller and wider than my 275/60R20 I currently have installed. This may change once they are mounted though.

 

At work we have a automatic drain valve on the big air compressor, it goes off every hour at least, and it always gets anyone around!!!! The best is when the big wigs come for a bbq, and it releases!

Well I hooked it up and waited for it to go of; as I’m sitting in the boss’ office for a review; a ridiculous high pitch noise starts hahah he looks around and questions the noise; we’ve got loose lips around the shop and he turns to me and says oh is that the whistle you made? I said yea but wasn’t expecting that noise.....
Maybe I can use 3/4 or 1” pvc instead, to much air flowing thru the 1/2” so you can’t tell any difference in pitch.

I mainly use it for MTB parts but you should check if your employer (or maybe a past employer) is on there. Method has a really good discount that rhymes with “plenty”.

 

I had pretty much those wheels on a car. I still like them on a truck. They almost look cartoonishpro to me, but in a good way. Probably because they had much lower profile tires.

Either do bigger pvc, or maybe put a ball valve or something to help with slowing the air down.
The one I made it pretty obviously high pitched; but this spells trouble because I could do a ridiculous like 11 note setup or something. I already know one of the old farts will complain or be all cranky that I did it.

You could do a couple extra with varying sized birds mouth slots for a more harmonic tune.

 

Anyone ever seen a syringe like this for sale in person? I need one to fix our Rav4. Most that I'm seeing are pricy for a single one online.

Apparently the noise that I've been trying to diagnose on her car for a year might be the intermediate steering shaft. It's a known issue and there is even a TSB on it apparently. Instead of paying big $ to replace some of the guys on the Rav4 forum determined you can "grease" it and the noise goes away. The only thing that will fit down there is a syringe tip like this.

Her car actually makes 2 different noises which I haven't been able to figure out. We'll see if this helps either one.

I posted this video last year but no one had any ideas. I doubt it's a major concern but I'd like to figure it out. All the parts I can grab feel tight(ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links etc).

I got some sideways looks when I walked in there and asked for a syringe and hypo needles.

Even explaining it was for oiling a car precisely, they stared me down all the way out.

 

Can you weld? This looks like something that could be put together at home. I guess the people weight is all you need to worry about. It wouldn't be a very dynamic load since none of the weight is in it while in motion.

 

If those had bronze screw heads or no screws on the lip I’d probably buy them.

I used that when I bought my bike. I have not tried it for parts. I replaced all my frame bearings last year and I wish I had thought about that.

 

A grease gun needle adaptor will come in handy for stuff like that. I think I picked mine up at O'Reilly Auto or Pep Boys.
