A sunny 50° here right now, supposed to be 63° later.
If you are going out wear a mask. I wear it for you and you wear it for me. We can stop the spread together.
And anyone else that I've forgotten.

What did you expect? And did YOU really want to get up this morning?!? :D

TWO WEEKS?!? How do y'all get a TWO WEEK spring break?!? My son and daughter (both in college) had their spring breaks reduced to ONE DAY, a WEDNESDAY, purposefully set to keep the college kids from going anywhere on a real Spring Break.

    The very long-winded answer...

Yeah we really do work hard here. I am blessed to be at a charter school. Of course, like with everything, it has its advantages. This is especially true when compared to our local public school districts here. Everything from administration to salary to student body IS phenomenal! SOOoooo. We WORK HARD and thus require to PLAY HARD too. Sincerely we do! We have staff that works really well and adheres to the culture of our world here, kindness and respect... coupled with productivity and accountability.

The administration is always working above and beyond to facilitate the education process. For example, we are always top 5 in the state for ALL statewide assessments in our area period! Meaning that, we put in more hours of direct instruction than many regular schools do with the same "allotted time" for exceptional real world stats and not "juiced" ones resulting from quick cramming and such. Even with ALL the "breaks", we STILL clock in more hours of educational instruction vs the surrounding public districts.

I personally teach second through eighth grades and have high expectations of all of them as they have of me (of course)... this means I am responsible for approx 435 students for my subjects alone English/Spanish! EVERY half hour of rigid, fast paced, curriculum, has me seeing a given class for said instruction. That means I teach anywhere from 12 classes (like today) up to 14 classes (there are 2 tracks of every grade; 2nd A and 2nd B and so on). I am spent everyday... but it is awesome!

    Our breaks are the following:

Fall break - is two weeks and occurs approx 2months after school has begun
Thanksgiving - is only one week though
Winter Break - is always three weeks however, has spilled into almost 4 at different points in a calendar year
Spring Break - is always two weeks

On another note, which we are very proud of here...
We have NEVER shut down once for COVID for this current school year! We started with in-class instruction from the very beginning and anticipate to complete the year that way too. Our administration is awesome at protocols and procedures that kept our student body exposure low... If I recall correctly, our school has had less than 30 cases thus far...

SO yeah, I love my school...
Just like everyone else with each of their respective, passionate crafts (they call a profession), "I look good, feel good, and play good." Therefore, I will gladly take all the "avoid teacher burnout time" allotted me... We all deserve that respectively
