Thanks, that's all very helpful. For the USB cables, did you just buy two of the ACC-USB-TO2's to get them all hooked up, or could I use a standard USB extension cable for the second one?

I also just noticed the Maestro has radar detector integration for a few units...anybody try this? Curious if I could mount the detector behind the grill and control it from the HU for a clean install.

Just the one as my truck only has one factory USB port. I removed a blank port cover under the temp controls and bought a cable on Amazon that goes from the headunit usb to snap in unit.

    Sorry I don’t have the mrr2.

Thanks, I just ordered the 997xr and Maestro. Does this retain the parking lines (and are they still useful or all out of wack), and anybody know if these installs have that speed-adjusted volume? When I had my top of the line pioneer in the last truck (no maestro), it was wired for speed sensitive but could never get it to work.

Yes it does. You can either do the Toyota parking lines or the headunits parking lines which are adjustable. I found the factory was better.

yes it says there is speed adjusted sound. But I have found it doesn’t work to well. Not nearly as good as the oem setttings did.

So the word 'either' implies that the OEM guide lines can be disabled. Is that possible, and how?

sorry to bring this back up. Would it be possible for you to take photo of the radio’s obd2 plug to show which pin it is in?
I have the marstro hrn-rr-to2 harness with the same, single wire obd2 plug from my jvc kw-z1000w radio. I also have the fortin remote starter installed which t into the factory obd2. Exactly like your photo. My problem is the radio cannot communicate with the obd2 and tells me to plug it in and hit connect. So i have the obd2:error 1 show up on my gauges page on the radio. Tpms also does not show because it can’t see connection of the obd2. Im trying to diagnose the problem but can’t find any solution online.

Given the option, one should always solder wires, posi taps next followed by butte splices, never scotch lock or wire nuts or god forbid electrical tape.....do it right!!!

Any resolutions on this? I have a 2011 with the alpine x009-TND. I have all the gauges but no TPMS.

The harness that came with this Alpine specific restyle unit was missing a wire that the normal maestros have.

I was told by Idatalink that I need to add the wire in order to have TPMS. That does not work.

I have tried adding the 2K resistor in between the power and the gray with red on the maestro harness, no change. I’ve reset the pids multiple times as well as resetting the module itself along with the radio.

For anyone that cut the resistor out of their system, what is the gray with red wire connected just to ignition or was the gray with red wire connected to ignition and also to the OBD2 port?.

The weird thing was, i HAD tpms in the beginning. Just no gauges. What i end up doing was adding 2 more wires along side the single obd2 plug from the maestro harness.
Follow this exact step to get all gauges to show up.

I choose to hardwire it so the obd2 port can still be available if need it later. 6E6AF4AB-97CD-45B0-91B6-CE1DBF1871C6.jpg

Well. Out of the blue my radio is not showing TPMS. It was working all these months and now it just quit. I’ve tried Maestro Master Reset and that didn’t fix it. Not sure what’s going on. All gauges still work normal. Radio said TPMS not Detected.

End up doing the 2k ohm resistor mod and got it up running again.
You solder the 2k ohm resistor inline with the grey/red wire that goes to the obd2 port and the other end of the resistor to the red wire on the green plug that plug into the RR module.
