Just bought a Rough Country bed mat to put on top of my drop in bedliner which has helped in the past to stop things from sliding around. As most mats are not meant to be used with drop in liners trimming is necessary. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what is the best tool to trim with? Thanks!

Instead of trimming the Best thing you can do is remove that plastic drop in liner!

Tried all different kinds of snips with negative results. Need to pull the mat out and try the utility knife idea.

This. And get a spray in bed liner. I added a piece of medical grade carpet rubber backing.

I am OK with the drop in bed liner and not interested in a spray in one. Just trying to get the mat trimmed easily.
