    Hello friends,

I'm trying to decide what to do on my Tundra and tell ya the truth, I dunno what the heck I'm talking about. I'm trying to explain to various installers what I want but all I can really do is show pics lol.

I have a 2015 Tundra LTD Crewmax and would like to get working on it finally. It's under 40K miles so we still have a lot of time together.

I didn't want anything too aggressive as I still commute the thing from Pasadena to Long Beach daily (30ish miles). Mainly wanted to do some dirt roads out in Joshua Tree and maybe up to Big Bear. Suicide Hill isn't going to be my thing for now...

What are your thoughts on a BDS 3" Coilover with Nitto Grapplers or KO2s. Im still looking at wheels in the Method line.

    Thanks in advance!

I had Terra Grapplers on my 07 Tacoma. They wore terribly. Like, looked like a snarled set of teeth on a wild animal. I'm not the most consistent about rotation, but I've never had a tire even close to looking that bad within 25k miles.

By the same token, my next set were BFG AT KO, eight ply, and they basically wore perfectly, and were probably rotated three times over the course of 45k miles or so. They also had plenty of tread remaining when I sold the truck. I had similar results with the original set of BFG Rugged Trail. They made it to 55k, although I didn't own it until it had 28k on it.

I think that will work great! Besides for 3000 bucks, it better. Lol. Lots of lifts out there and that’s definitely a nice one.

Installer is fresh out of Fox and Kings but is getting Icons in. He is suggesting a set of Icons with 2.5NR and 2.0IR along with proprietary upper control arms and shackles.

What does the NR and IR mean? Icons are a reputable brand and quality? The price tells me... "pretty solid."

    Thanks!
