So bought the Icon 2.5 with reservoir and compression dampening control fir the front leveling and plan on a shackle for 2 inches of lift in the rear....saving for upper control arms and the differential drop and all the other stuff that should be dropped for maintaining axle and drive line angles....so I’m at the dealership getting an estimate for install of the icons....but the young service tech wasn’t confident that their service policy allows for 3rd party lift installs....they do lift installs ....but only ones that they either sell or their policy supports.....the young service tech will have to ask a more senior advisor....does anyone have any experience with this endeavor?....will the dealership install my icons....I do believe they will install lift kits....but I’m thinking only ones that they sell.....also bought the 275/80r/18....tires .....what do you guys think?

Many dealerships will not install a lift on a vehicle with Toyota safety sense (including front facing radar). Not uncommon.

Where are you located? I am sure the community can give you many better recommendations than visiting a dealer for an Icon install.

Puget sound pierce county Tacoma area....the service advisor just said no on the icon install....but quoted me a 3/2/3 ready lift kit install...the kid said they just started this program at Puyallup dealership... ....he did say different dealerships maintain different policies....some dealerships may install and approve other performance mods but not all deal ships operate under the same policy....

I would look for an independent shop, will probably be cheaper than the dealer as well.

Agree with @frichco228 and @mountainpete find a local shop that will install. Any dealership will overcharge for the installation.

    Don't go to the dealer.
