What have you done to your 2nd gen Tundra today?

That Bad Boy needs a SC!!!

 

New tires on the truck today. Cooper Discoverers st maxx 295x70x18 really liking them. Minimal trimming on the skid plate. Less that 4sq in. Here are before and afters.

 

New headlights with C strip LED. Need to figure out how to hook up the +\- led wires if any of y’all have done that.

 

Add a fuse circuit to your Ignition fuse. Easy to do and find on Amazon/EBay

How are you liking the new sway bar?

 

Installed the Sony XAV-5000AX from Crutchfield. Replaced the non-JBL bluetooth stock unit.

 

That flat black ring around the head unit looks pretty cool

 

Lost a piston the other day . Waiting on new forged pistons, rods, bearings, headers, HC oil pump, and stud kit to arrive. Then the fun will begin.

Nice! I never get tired of seeing Sequoia grilles on the gen 2 Tundras!

 

Turned over 100k on my 2007, so thought I would treat the truck to some new shocks. I went with Bilstein 6112 up front and 5100s out back. Now to find the time.

 

Did AIP bypass and new fender liners.

 

Has anyone done this in CA and smog shop maybe not noticed and it was fine? Lol

 

Got the C strip hooked up. Also put in the new fog lights, little unsure about them though haha what y’all think?

First time I heard about C Strip? Is that a mod for the headlights or is that a general term for headlights with that particular pattern in them?

 

I’m in Michigan so I can’t say for sure, but you’d have to really know what you’re looking for to notice it. I removed the pumps themselves but there’s no need to do that.

You know what the funniest thing is!? My tundra went into limp mode today when my wife was driving it with the kids in the truck. I was at work and first thing is I made sure everyone was ok! And they were lol. Came home and pulled the code and found P2440. I guess I jinxed it. But.. ever since I got my tundra in 2017 it made that whoosh noise at start up and I didn’t know what it was at first until learning more so I kinda figured it would happen to mine

 

So not technically my Tundra but I did Toyotafy my toolbox that use to wrench on my Tundra so it counts. Hail The Ironman!

 

Definitely a nice addition compared to stock

 

I need to do the same thing to mine. I plan on spraying it with bedliner though so I'll hopefully never have to worry about it rusting again.
