that video is nothing but a history of how Toyota got into racing.

no facts on what you state that the trd line is going away.

If anything it’s the opposite because Toyota expanded the TRD trim to the 2020+ Camry and Avalon models.

Salesman tried to sell me a Supra while I was getting the truck serviced a couple of weeks ago. I told him if I wanted to buy a BMW I’d go to a BMW dealer. Told him to give me a call when Toyota makes a Supra.

Seems like winning the baja 1000 with the introductory Pro tundra stock class in 2015 would indicate that TRD is alive and well.

I could easily go with Gazoo Racing Package.

Pic for those that remember the Great Gazoo.

Most of this speculation is coming from the Supra / Z4 twins and Gazoo racing (GR).. No one really batted an eye for the 86, because no special package really came with it. I remember a similar rumor when Scion came around, that it would bring in a new modification program that would kill TRD, but everything that came from Scion was TRD stamped... I would sum this up to clickbait, TRD is alive and well and it aint going anywhere... The experimentation with BMW will hopefully jumpstart Toyota to separate the Supra out of the BMW line eventually... Its already started reproducing Supra bits, I was able to acquire some Mark IV Supra parts that had been previously discontinued and are now in stock, if any one cares to look....

Calm down....some are going on a rant. If you look at the thread header, there is a “?” at the end of the title....so it’s a question.

Also, I asked my buddy who works for TMC the same question, and he refused to answer. It has me questioning things, that’s all. Let’s not turn this into a battleground.

@blackdemon_tt, I asked to talk about your parts, if maybe you would be interested in letting go of some parts...not interested in a discussion about your Supra .

Would it really matter if they changed the name of TRD to GR?

Not at all...I actually believe all performance line of Toyota will fall under the GR brand. But, what do I know right? :D
