This compartment here always got me thinking. Does anyone use this? Why is this compartment here but not symmetrically on the driver side? Toyota never fails to get intrigue me, like the time they pretty much threw a BMW roadster in the 2020 Supra.

Haven't found a use for it yet. Never saw anything about it in the manual either.

My wife uses it for her phone when she isn't looking at Facebook or Pinterest. It would be nice to have it on the drivers side.

I put my gate pass for work there and my phone. Have car play so I don’t really touch the phone after it connects.

I drive the truck so I personally don't put squat there. Wife puts her cell phone/tissues/etc. there when we're on longer drives.

You must have long ass arms to put your phone in there.
I have band-aids there, for some odd reason.

My 2010 doesn't have this...I don't think. Can't remember, now lol. My wife's Flex has something similar, which I use to keep the keys and allen wrenches that adjust her roof rack cross bars.

That's my wife's side of the truck. She keeps a pair of glasses in a soft case that just fits and lip balm jammed in there.
