I am seriously considering 4.88 gears for my 285/75-18's. The shifting with this tire size is not bad but quite a bit of the spunk is gone. The big question is do I throw in a LSD for the rear and an E-locker for the front while it is apart? A local shop wants $2000 in labor for the regear alone.

With many of the gear packages we sell, an Auburn, Powertrax, Grip Pro, or Eaton is 80% of the time also purchased. If it is something you want, might as well get it done while the truck is torn apart. Side note, out here (San Diego) the install for gears and Grip Pro is little more than 1/2 of your estimate. Maybe shop around for a better price and what you save on the install you can pay for the LSD.

Also, we have the best pricing around on gears and LSD. Usually with free shipping to. Call Keith first!!! 760-877-4234.

    Thanks, Shawna

Thank you for the information on the labor amount. It did seem a bit high to me. What LSD do most Tundra owners install when regearing?

It would be best to talk to Keith Carty on this one. I don't really see one that is more ordered over the other. I think it really just comes down to which price point works best for the person/truck. 760-877-4234.

    Thanks, Shawna

I am assuming that $1300 was for front and rear?
