Hose water locking/unlocking truck

Hello all, I’ve tried to search but didn’t come up with anything.

I was out washing my truck yesterday evening and it started to beep at me, as If someone was pushing lock/unlock on the fob. I just swapped hoods with someone that day, so in my head I was running through anything that could have went wrong. After thinking for 30 seconds and realizing that couldn’t have been the issue(it’s literally 4 bolts and zero electronics) I realized the fob was in my pocket. I also realized it would only beep when the hose water was directly hitting the door handle. This was from a few feet away too, not directly standing beside it. When I left the fob in the truck, it would beep for a extended period of time when the water would hit the handle to let me know that the key was in the truck. Just thought it was interesting that hose water would be detected by the handle as if it was a hand. Anyone else notice this?

 

Yes if I leave key in my truck and I use a sponge or even drying it with the Chamois near the door handle, it beeps a few times. Definitely annoying. Take your key out of car and don’t put it in your pocket when you wash
