For sound deadening material estimate. Floor, four doors, firewall, rear wall, and headliner. Anyone have an accurate total?

Took some measurements in the cab. This isn't super detailed, but should give a decent approximation for material needed to do a double cab.

    Front Door: 35"w x 29"h - 7 sq ft
    Back Door: 25"w x 29"h - 3.65 sq ft
    Back Wall: 62"w x 33"h - 14.2 sq ft
    Tunnel: 38"w x 52"h - 13.72 sq ft
    Headliner: 60"l x 54"w - 22.5 sq ft
    Floor: 93"w x 61"h - 39.4 sq ft - subtract 4.33 for the tunnel = 35.07 sq ft net for floor

Total for soundproofing entire truck 107 sq ft - just realized, you need to add more material for the inside panel of the doors. That will add up several square feet since there are four doors

That's quite a bit more than I expected looking at figures shown on various sites for a double cab. Eye opener. :monocle:

Well, that's about 1/4 more than I expected, so not out of the ballpark.

He has a CM, but @Freeezen just did his truck if I recall. He may have some good tips as well.

To do it right it is expensive, and time consuming. I m still debating if I want to remove my headliner to do the top of cab.

For myself the work is something I look forward to. As for the headliner - if I'm gonna take out the seats, the center console, the carpet, etc, what more is a headliner, lol?

Just finished the read. It's very interesting to note that a couple of the guys chiming in, did not think it was worth the trouble to properly seal the large maintenance openings in the doors. I know mids are designed to perform best in a free air, but I'll still put in hard panels covered with dampening materials to seal that up.
