I have a leak that i cant find. It looks as if it is coming from the oil pan gasket but after replacing that gasket twice, im thinking no. Can anyone tell me what these two item are and do either contain engine oil.

Item A is the transmission fluid thermostat. Item B is the warmer/cooler for transmission fluid.

Item A only has transmission fluid inside. Item B has engine coolant and transmission fluid inside, no motor oil.

Engine oil can leak into the engine coolant at the engine oil cooler mounted on the front cover.

Sure the leak isn’t coming from up top? Cam Towers can leak pretty good and get down to the pan.
    Or rear main

I see no evidence that the oil is coming from up above (cam tower). i will check again. There is a possibility that this is ATF leaking. Looking at my picture that i posted, Item A is connected to lines that run along side the block to a cooler in front of the radiator. The are VERY corroded where they are anchored
to the block. i need to check the ATF level.

That is an assembly of two lines held together at the front and rear with mounting brackets welded to the lines. If you live in the rust belt, rust at those welds is highly likely. Iirc, those lines are bare steel, not even painted.
