Has any tried the "JBL SUB REPLACEMENT LOADED WITH JBL Sub" from Tech12volts? It's only $200 so I'm not expecting it to transform my stock JBL system into something spectacular but thought it might be a decent improvement for not too much money.

I did it, and I am pleased with the results. I doesn't make it louder, but it improves the bass sound quality. If your going to replace the entire system or most of it, skip this and do it right. If your like me and just wanted some improvement over the crap Toyota put in the truck, then it is money well spent in my opinion. I am content with the system now.
With that said, I am not an audiophile or car audio expert.

Thanks, this might be what I'm looking for then. There's no way I'm going to replace the whole thing... Just not for me. I saw all the negative feedback about the stock JBL system before I bought my '21 Limited , but I thought... How bad can it be? Now I know. Pretty sad that the audio system in my wife's Honda Odyssey puts it to shame.

I have one on the shelf that’s less then a year old I got from Taylor’s Audio t/a tech12volts that I started my build with then added the complete system with the dual sub box.
If your close by me I’ll gladly sell you my take out JBL single box & JBL woofer.

it’s worth the sound difference for sure and will send you on your way to improving the overall sound that Toyota missed the boat on with the JBL compared to my 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport LB

RdKing, I'm in MN so it would have to be shipped. I'd be interested though, but if you don't want to deal with shipping I understand.
