new here first post. Just picked up a 2021 tundra and i really want to level it and throw some 33s on it with a -12 offset rim. I’ve seen a guy put those tires on stock height but i still would like a level truck i tow a small Jon boat nothing heavy. That being said ( and i know i can search for all that stuff ) my concern is do i have to worry about premature wear on ball joints etc... with a leveling kit? I mean it’s a brand new truck so I kind of been going back-and-forth. Leave it be buy rims and tires or level it, what would you do ? Truck has 500 miles and it’s going to get driven quite a bit. Any response would be appreciated thank you very much. Just need help from ripping my hair out or making a dumb decision

You could put 275/70r18 tires on the stock wheels and suspension? Or just do a simple level like Bilstein 5100’s.

Tundra AB3.jpg Congrats on the nice new Tundra :) Of course it all depends on what YOU want but if it was mine I would level it up and put new wheels and tires on it. Any time you put heavier wheels and tires on it will cause some additional wear on tie rods etc but it will not be significant. I have a 3 and 1 on mine with air bags on the back, it rides and drives great.

    Welcome!

I very recently did a level and 33’s. My whole project included blasting and powder coating my TRD Offroad wheels, adding Bilstein 5100’s up front on middle setting, and getting new Cooper XLT AT3 275 70 18’s.

The ride and handling are improved and the truck is straight and level. This switch shouldn’t damage or add extra wear. Here are before and after:

I’m thinking of powder coating mine as well. How much did yours run you? Did you have a spare set to put on while yours were being powder coated?

I did! I couldn’t think of any other way to do it, so I paid $100 each for basically new take-offs and had them SB and PC for another $100 each. So $800 total and I have my originals now as take offs to sell and recoup some of that.
I got everything done in one day at a local shop; 5100’s, wheel swap, new 33’s, and alignment.

... it was a good day.

Welcome and congrats... It's all what you want spend for a low entry kit or real coilovers, UCA, and better shocks for long lasting, no wear and piece of mind.... Cry once, pay once... I'm still crying about my Toytec, but smile from the waves and thumbs up...Truck ride so smooth.. Good luck.IMG_20210306_093030.jpg

Thanks guys! Think I’m going to go with the bilstein 5100s seems to be what I’m looking for. I like the idea better then the spacer.

    Good decision.

After a lot of research, I have come to the conclusion that, although many say spacers are fine, I want the option to do some offroading if the opportunity arises. I'll be going with one of the below:

5100 seems to be a well regarded, intro to upgraded shock, that will suit most people's daily driving usage and doesn't cost thousands.

Eibach Stage 1 is another option, it comes with new springs for the front instead of using the stock, for around the same price.

Must be the angle but the front still looks lower than the rear.

I am looking to just maybe level the truck with the 28" tires. Any ideas as to what I would need and what would the total cost be with installation?
