    Supercharger is the right answer. I gained ~1.5mpg and ~100spg after supercharging my rig. I'm running 37" tires on a 7" lift with ~900lbs of extra weight over stock (bumper, winch, sliders, skid, roof rack, bed rack, RTT, etc.) and still get ~14mpg combined with some spirited once in a while. I get ~19mpg on flat highways. I also probably have one of the most least aerodynamic Tundras out there.

    Supercharger or gears, maybe both? I also care about my mpg's and will spend money trying to improve for a peace of mind. I get 13s on the hwy and 12 in town. Itd be nice to see atleast 15 mpg hwy. If you can improve Mpg's then why not?

    Wow. I am in fact getting 15.1 with lift and tires. That said, its about 95% freeway driving. When I start tooling around down, it drops dramatically.

    That's how I feel. If you wanted MPG's get a Prius or a Yaris or some other little 50 miles to the gallon car. My truck is not supposed to be the most fuel efficient vehicle out there, that's just not manly!

    Fill your tires with helium, 7x less dense than air. I did that and my mileage went from 15 to 107 mpg. Then I got smart, hydrogen is 1/2 the density of helium, boom, increase to 214. But my neighborhood is posted no smoking now.

    I did try other things before I changed the gas in the tires to reduce road weight. Leveled to increase air flow underneath to add lift, roof racks to increase turbulence on top to add to the lift, larger diameter tires to reduce revs per mile. Sadly none of these common sense approaches seemed to work.

    My average since I bought it last October is 18.8.


    That's Litres/100km :)

    That's 12.5mpg US. Not terrible for lots of short trips in the winter. I got 13.2L/100 (17.8 mpg) on the 10 hour trip home with it.

    So far, I'm finding it better to use a bit more throttle when needed, then back out of it when you don't. Rather than nursing it along for longer.

    On a stock setup I consistently get 13.7 MPG, driving like a bat out of hell. I do not seem to fair much better driving like Granny so, I figure why not.:cheers:

    My 4.6 drank some fuel, but my 5.7 gets around 13.8 mpgs on a regular, which makes this truck the least efficient vehicle I've ever owned but I absolutely didn't have fuel consumption in mind. I had 'TOYOTA Tundra' at my house to modify in mind. My 2015 Silverado gets about 18-19 mpgs. Maybe a Chevy would benefit

    This is a bunch of passionate Tundra owners that would love to get better mileage, but it's not a reality and we've all come to terms with it. The joking you've seen is their coping mechanism they use when they start to sweat when thinking how much money Flys out the pipes!!
