Just like in ny example, they arent going to sit there and cause a raucous for 1 hour and risk getting caught. After checking surveillance cameras that had been under my truck for 4-5 mins before they got caught. I am guessing the stainless steel exhaust slowed them down more than the typical mild steel found on exhausts.and that's a very long time for them. They cut my neighbors Honda in 30 secs and gone.

Depends on your area, but I could have had them both thieves deep under today, but I'd be crucified. If they showed a weapon different story as I akready had the drop on them.

Holy crap! I didn't know catalytic converters where that expensive! damn.

Some places cut a hand off for thieving. Not sure they're the ones who got it wrong...

It's not just the cats. It's also the exhaust system they're attached to that the dealer has to replace.

If I was younger, I probably would have gone this route. I'm content with the BAM 8" and don't want it any louder.

That's the reason why I towed the truck to the dealer instead of the their approved shops. More than likely that they'll install.aftermarket cheapos in there, and the system will be welded to shit.

I think it is damn near impossible to cut titanium pipe with a sawzall, and it is really hard to cut with a regular cut wheel, I think this is a viable option! Haha, don’t worry about the $5k it would cost!

Buddy of mine just got hit while in the grocery store for five minutes mid day in FL and another in Dallas that I was stationed with got hit in his own driveway the other night.
My DE cat plate arrives tomorrow and is going on asap. I dont have a lot of thieving tweakers up my way but cant speak for when I travel out of state. People suck, sorry you got nailed. With any luck they got t boned by a semi on their way out of the area.

I have the DE skid. I have Tyler's rear plate on the way as well. I'll post pics once it's installed.

My husband grew up in communist Russia and fled the iron curtain back in ‘79 (they almost killed his father at the airport). From the stories hes told.. we have it pretty good over here. Its all perspective though, we’re just used to our own brand of suck in the states.

    More than a few.....
Kent at Desert Eagle offroad told me they are starting to take doors off cars too and advised me to put security bolts on all the door hinges and fill them with silicone. At this rate, might be a good idea to weld the cats to your frame.....

Man. Go to work and not post or read for a few hours and somehow we went from some poor guy getting his catalytic converter ripped off to immigration and politics. We should really talk about something less controversial like guns, church and dare I say it......tundras.

Thankfully it does, but we shall see. It's currently on the estimate stage from insurance co. Just paying the $500 deductible shall be the only responsibility.

As a Hispanic I (we) have the ability to place someone's country of origin by thier accent, much like most Americans can easily place a New England/California/Midwest accent. Calling me a racist (while most likely said in hyperbole) seems far fetched.

Both the subject of racism and illegal immigration were brought into this thread by you.

I'm getting QAnon vibes from you, and hey, whatever floats your goat man.

Reminds me of the Pulp Fiction quote:

Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.

I’ll straight deathstomp a dude pulling that shit on a Tundra. I’d let a Ford theft go with a kick to the nuts..

I was robbed the first 3 minutes I was in Chicago in 2012. Guess getting out of a cab was a touristy giveaway. Robbed with like 80 people walking around me.
