Unknown button

My 06 SR5 has a button below the hazard lights, any ideas what it might be to? I’ve pushed it, but no results I can see.

 

Thats the Hand Model Emergency Warning Button. Kinda like the Bat Signal.

 

Follow the instructions here on how to remove the climate control bezel then you can trace where the button goes. Might be a good time to switch the lighting back there for LEDs if that's your thing.

Speaking of the unknown. I just found out yesterday, inside the glove box of my 07 there is a switch, (it takes the key to use), that will disable the passenger seat airbags. I ve been looking for a way to disable the passenger seat for ages.
Edit: Apparently that feature was only offered to the access cabs

 

That is the "toyopet boost" button. Adds 50 hp on demand in short bursts. Be careful, truck goes from corolla to LFA in 25 years flat

 

My wife has this same unknown button. If I push it, she goes off

Obviously the scramble button for when you’re about to get gapped from stop light to stop light.

Is it Momentary on or an On/Pff switch? If Momentary I bet an aftermarket horn at one point. I did that for the train horn on Tacoma.

 

If you want to stay in 1st you have to go down to 2 then use that button.

 

My guess is that someone added it to operate a garage door opener.

Does anyone ever say flux capacitor here? That activates the flux capacitor. That joke was last funny when the FGT was in the design stage.

 

After market stereo? Could be a video player bypass

My guess is rear camera switch...

 

My answer? It shifts you down to first. 4spd column paired with a 5spd transmission.
