Thank you. That helps a lot. By that math the Dobinsons are giving me an additional 2.5" of travel over stock

This sounds about right, so mid travel for me isn't much more. I knew we had to have some decent and close numbers out there. Now I'm still curious why OP and one other are severely limited here.....inches matter guys...3 minimum to get the job done and that's exactly, "what she said."

Based on the pic from @BroTun13 I have to agree there. Looks like the shock adds height and isn't adding travel with it. Most likely to avoid exceeding the travel of the stock arms, cv joints, and tie rods.

Stock suspension travel is 9.5". If you "assume" toyota put things right in the middle, that is 4.75" compression, 4.75" droop.
If you only have 1.5" droop, you are lifted 3.25"
All this is on stock or stock like shocks, aka 5100. (And spacer lifts)
Not sure if 6112 is supposed to increase travel, stock TRD PRO shocks increase travel 1.5"
The reason icon, fox, kings etc "ride better" is similar to why TRD PRO ride better, they have increased travel and therefore do not lose as much droop.

Lower your lift to 2" for best ride/lift compromise...or buy shocks with longer travel

Thank you for the info. 9.5" of overall travel stock is right inline with what I've heard.

I would love to lower my lift to 2". Unfortunately I cannot without different springs at this point as I am on the lowest possible setting on the Dobinsons IMS shocks and 610 coils. (610 is p/n not spring rate) I'm going to see if they settle more before I jump ship.

If these Dobinsons springs don't settle anymore then I may bite the bullet and try some of the Eibach lift coils for a lower/softer ride

To everyone who posted their down travel/droop numbers, lifted or stock - THANK YOU!

I'd love to keep the tread on track and get some more posts of real world numbers from more rigs. I'm curious what others are getting with their setups and I know others are too.

I only had .75” downtravel when I had the 613’s installed. I have more now but am nowhere near where it should be as I’m still lifted ~4” with broke-in 614’s. I haven’t had a sway bar installed since I bought the truck.
Here’s my fiasco with all kinds of pics and measurements.

Holy crap! I remembered reading that last year but didn't realize that you never got something worked out! I know you tried with another kit from the same company, but I still think you got another from the same bad batch. To get twice the lift out of what it calls for, something isn't right.

Well now I’m worried because I bought the 2.25 inch 610 coils as well. Just got the box in the mail and haven’t installed them but crap.

Is everyone with the dobinson and the down travel issue on stock UCA or anyone using an aftermarket one?

Are you noticing any unusual tire wear with no sway bar?
I also removed the sway bar and am getting a sawtooth tire wear pattern on the outer edge of the front tires.

What tire are you running? Air pressure and tire rotations can help with this.. but other issues can cause it as well.

BFG KO2 previously and didn’t rotate until 10-12k miles. That interval was too long.

Now on Toyo AT3 and I’m noticing the same wear pattern happening and I’m rotating at 5k miles.

I should start my own thread now. I didn’t mean to hijack here.

Get a proper alignment or your shocks are history.

Agree with this....especially if you're rotating correctly already... only other thing is air pressure...also and if you're trying to drive it like a sports car.

Shocks have like 10k miles on them, they are TRD Pro Fox.
Alignment was set with 0.0 camber so I am thinking my I might have too much toe in.

Air pressure was 35-40 PSI. I am currently running 45 PSI all around in the 295/70-18 Toyo AT3.
