So, I’ve notice a clinking metallic sound when I back out of my driveway. Usually within the first 5-10 yards. I can also replicate this sound if I then put it in Drive and go forward about the same distance. Seems like it just happens once and is then gone. Any ideas?

Probably a heat shield or the brake backing plate. Double check underneath for loose shields or if you need to bend back the backing plate for clearance.

Edit: Missed that you stated it stopped. Might be something else.

It’s part of the abs system I believe, it only happens in the morning and only once right?
Mine does something similar for the last 10’ out of my driveway, then about 5-10 into drive as I’m turning and scooting away

Just one clink/ting in reverse and then sometimes one when I put it back in drive. Not really a clunk. How do I post a video?

@FrenchToasty yeah that sounds about right. It only happens once but not only in the morning. Can happen once each time I start reversing or once when I start driving forward. Dealership said it might be brake pads shifting a bit.

Could be brake pads, the slide pins and pads are easy enough to take off and throw sil glide on.

I bet it's the pads. Nothing serious I bet.
    Let's clink for something better.
