I'd like to see the tailgate lock and bed lights standard fare as well as some easier way for my fat ass to get in the bed to fish out whatever rolls to the front. Some storage would be nice too but that's been beat up enough. I'd also like for them to maintain some of the physical buttons because I don't want to navigate menus to turn on the heated seats or adjust the temperature. Radio / phone is fine and but leave the other controls manual.

Well it's a good thing it's not MGM, we wouldn't even have spy shots to ponder over. I don't think they make a camera with a shutter speed fast enough to even capture a picture of an MGM.

Looks pretty good and not too radically different than the current offering, While that's all fine and dandy I am equally interested in the WB options. There have been rumors of a CM with a 6' or 6.5' bed (please let that be accurate) and I know Toyota engineers are innovative enough to add under seat storage and maintain the roll down rear window on the CM. 3.5 turbo vs. V8 (or both) doesn't affect me too much as it is Toyota and they (typically) don't mess things up, however the 3rd (Turd) gen Tacoma is debatable... Another thing that interests me is the leather quality in the lesser offerings. Aside from the 1794 (and platinum?) the leather in the lesser 3rd gen Tundras seriously suck ass. I am pretty much used to having a constantly sore back for 3 years now in my Pro.

That smaller engine would need to rev higher to produce the same torque and HP that the 5.7 does.

The Pro leather from the early ones was what turned me off from the Pro for good. I'm not a huge leather fan, so when it was so stiff I knew cloth seats were for me. Don't know if they've improved the entry level leathers yet since I haven't tried anything less than a Platinum in a few years.

I have my fingers crossed for electrical outlets in the bed like my tacoma has. Weird the tacoma has it and the tundra doesn't.

If it's truly a "world beater" it better be able to power my whole house like the F150 can

something like that is too innovative for Toyota IMO. I just really doubt they would do anything that leading edge.

Well, Toyota sells about 2 Tacomas for every Tundra, so they're keeping the crowd happy. But yeah it's rather retarded.

Exactly why I'm looking hard into a 21 f150 Limited.. I'll definitely wait to see what the 2022 Tundra has to offer, but they better bring it. Anyone in the market for a highly customized 2018? (Lots of hwy miles)

Keeping my 18 forever, but I am looking forward to the next generation Toyota Sequoia and/or Lexus LX600. Might get both if taxes become a issue.

TFL produces so much content, finding anything useful on their site isn’t likely.

I think the most useful information about the new tundra, is the fact that there is no new information. The few “leaks” there have been, seem staged to me in order to gage response.

I still think Toyota currently has a turd on their hands, and they know it. So all the delays are less about supplier/Covid delays, and more about retooling the crap Before people actually see it.

I say this is a huge fan of the tundra, and Toyota in general. I’m just reading the tea leaves.

What about a straight 6.. 4.5 liter DOHC twin turbo with port and direct injected it would make the torque like a v8 and have high end hp

I'd love to hear all the complaints that it's not a V8 - by the people that love Ram diesels. Could only imagine how shitty changing the 6th plug would be though, the packaging on a half ton would be so tight.

Land cruiser ? Not a bad engine, but honestly, for the displacement the 4.7 2uz still outputs more hp and tq., Also it's not as robust as the JZ so I don't see the appeal.

    Now a v6 turbo diesel....

I know a lot of people with Tundras. Not a single one of them posts here, I can’t say none of them will own a V6 full size. But I can tell you that most wouldn’t even consider it. If you alienate more than half your customers, you have a turd.

So my neighbour heard from a guy who knows a guy who bought his dog from a guy who has a cousin that is 3 times removed from Mike Sweers. The 2022 will have:

V12 engine with electric hybrid assist

    30mpg highway, 25 mpg city

    21,000lb towing capacity

    8,000lb payload

5.5, 6.5 and 8 ft box length available with both crewmax and doublecab configurations. A 10ft box will be a custom order option for double cabs, just for those guys who need to be able to say a real truck has a huge box

    5th wheel hitch optional

    High end A/V options

Heated seats, steering wheel, mirrors and windows

    Ball cooler

    AC outlet in the bed

TRD Off Road will come equipped with a hidden Warn winch, Toytec suspension and LED lightbars

TRD Sport will have a supercharger, sway bar and stiffer suspension

If it went turbo. I would prefer something like this. Decent sized engine of at least 4.0l
