I’ve never been a huge fan of forums. I almost never find the answer I’m looking for. Not because it isn’t there. Mostly because there is just Sooooo much information out there that it’s a lot to sift through. I get antsy trying to find the answer I’m looking for and just say f*** it. Anyway, now I’m at wits end. I’m about to buy a used TRD supercharger for my 2017 Tundra TRD Pro non FF. The seller is including everything the kit originally came with, except the higher volume injectors and fuel pump. I found those online for a good deal as well. Now I’m into this thing for just over $3,000. Awesome deal, right? Well, I can’t find anyone that can do the tune. Everything I’ve read and been told by local dyno shops, is that there is no tune for that supercharger on anything newer than 2015. How can that be? I mean there has to be someone out there that can write new codes, right? I mean someone had to write the tune for the 07-15 Tundras. Why can’t that dude write another one for my truck? Can anyone help me out here? Thank you so much.

I would start with contacting Magnuson who made the TRD labeled supercharger (and the subsequent ones up to now from them are all the same), that will be your most direct route to a tune that works with your truck. There are other options, but they have their pros and cons and can be a bit more... intensive. There are places like OV Tune and DAP Tuning and probably others (like Harrop has a tune for their supercharger, though not sure how it's implemented) but they're all less of a plug and play option and could use some fiddling and may have long lead times. Magnuson are very helpful to talk to, tell them you have one of their superchargers for a Tundra but not the tune and your year and setup and they will tell you what/where to get the proper tune. If you want a "fancier" tune then get ready to read a lot :D

Welcome to the forum! As @snivilous stated your best bet would be to contact Magnuson to hear their recommendation but I'm pretty sure there's a DAP tune for it. Problem is he'd only do it in person so he can tune it himself on his dyno. Call Dustin up to find out what he can do for ya.

I definitely understand the information overload trying to sift through threads

Where’s Dustin’s shop? I’m in the frigid northeast, so I wouldn’t be able to get the truck to TX or CA. How do I get a hold of him? I’ll also try calling Magnuson tomorrow as well.

Yeah, that’s a little too far to tow/ship my truck for him to work on. Maybe I’ll get some good info from Magnuson tomorrow. I also sent emails out to OV and Vivid. Hopefully I’ll hear back from them soon.

I live in NH, but I work all over the northeast. From Buffalo to all points east and north. I work on power lines, so I go where the work is.

Right now I’m just waiting for the left coast to wake up. Another hour and change. Maybe I’ll have some answers for you all (y’all for the LA folks) shortly. :)

So, here’s what I found. Magnuson uses HP for their tune, but they do not offer any support for a supercharger that they did not specifically sell. Dynosty can do a custom tune, but they need my truck in their shop in KY. I live in NH, so that’s not really feasible. Finally, I stumbled across ID Motorsports. They are in MD. They can sell me an HP interface and write a custom tune for me based on the options I have installed on my truck and email me the tune. They have the ability to read the data logs after the truck drives and make adjustments to the tune as needed. And since they are on my coast, I could make a couple days trip out of it and drive it to their shop to have dyno tuning at a later date, if so desired.
