Looks like we got ourselves a hand model vs leg model cat fight fellas!!!!

 

I had a dead 25ft apple tree (about 12-14 inches diameter 2 inches out of the ground and several 6-8 inch offshoots about 5 feet up) that needed to come down but after I got sick of cleaning the carb on my chainsaw every year, I sold it the last time it needed a cleaning and didn't have one. I hate paying people to do my yard work and I had been hearing good things about cordless electric chainsaws. I watched a Project Farm comparison on 4 of them and the Dewalt did really well, and since I kinda committed to Dewalt power tools when I bought my impact wrench last Nov. getting their Flexvolt 60V Chainsaw seemed the obvious thing to do. I gotta tell ya....this thing rocked. It went through that tree like butter. I cut the whole tree down and used it to cut up the limbs and trunk into fire place sized logs and I still had two bars left of three on the battery. I'm sure it would have been much tougher to cut up some live oak, but I was still impressed. Fairly quiet compared to a gasser as well. I'll never go back to a gasser again. If a tree is big enough to need a big gas chainsaw, I'll be paying someone who does it for a living to take it down. I'm looking forward to taking this thing camping. I'm getting too old to cut up 3 days worth of firewood with a bow saw. Anyway, if anyone else is considering an electric chainsaw....I highl recommend this Dewalt.

dug around in the toolbox and found a 25mm and a 28mm wrench. 25 is to small ruling out a 24mm bar and the 28mm is a touch big. I’d say I’m safe to assume the truck has a 27. Thanks for the help fellas

It was a few years ago, I wouldn't remember which ones I bought. Grab a pair of calipers and measure your bar. You can find cheap ones pretty easily.

I saw that video too and since I have big Donnie I was already planning to pick up a DeWalt Chainsaw at some point. Glad to see another real world review. I'm not buying a gas chainsaw or weed eater.

 

I got the camera and handle installed. I am having an issue with the camera, it doesn't seem to be working. I've been in contact with customer service and they've been trouble-shooting with me and asked me to send the camera back. The handle seems to work pretty well, but I saved my old in case I need to swap out some of the internals or if there's an issue. The camera I can't comment on yet, but company's customer service has been really nice and helpful so far.

 

I have the 12" bar dewalt saw and LOVE it. For hunting and camping firewood use it can't be beat. Also great for some limbing and that around the house. Couldn't justify cost of a gas one and already have lots of dewalt tools and batteries. So much easier then dealing with 2 stroke gas and such.

 

I actually bought all these this weekend....used the blower a bit, but not much. Didn't use the string trimmer....but I plan on getting a few attachments for it too when they are available....they are new and not available quite yet...

I have the 82V snapper chainsaw, I used it once a year ago but I have a giant stump that needs some attention

 

Your gonna need some sun and a bit of coco butter for sheen on dem legs if you want your modeling career to go anywhere. Oh and dem shit kickers better be Gucci

 

I'll get some and post them up. I was debating a small write-up/review once it's finally done, but can post one before I send the camera back to get checked out.

 

Changed my slightly dirty autozone air filter to a Toyota air filter. I know for a fact my engine runs smoother at idle now and at 1,000 rpms. My truck used to stumble a little at 1,000 rpms and it's gone.

 

@speedtre You may be able to save that apple tree with some grafting. I have saved about 50 trees doing that.

 

Too late....it's been standing dead for 2 years...

My tree guy swears by Stihl.

 

I was in the market for a one hand climbing saw last year and ended up with a stihl electric. It has been a great little saw. We've been reforesting and grafting the wild pears with fruiting pears. The saw gets a good workout and I have no complaints. It's way more convenient than any gas powered saw.

No Shame!

I had actually climbed one of the beech trees close to the flag pole and opened up the canopy around the flags. Used vegetable oil in chain lube as to not hurt the trees.

 

Just got my $950+ tax refund in the mail today from 2018 when I was unable to file.

I filed back in the 2nd week of April last year. Took almost 10 months to get it. Wow! That’s a record.

 

We’re about the same time frame from last years, still waiting

 

Wow I thought I was the only one. They really hate when you file late even when they owe you.

 

We were still under the “new” late cut off date, but our tax people apparently missed a signature, and it wasn’t a EFile, it’s been a Fiasco.
I’ve got all kinds of projects on hold due it. But that means this spring and summer, I will be busy...... shipping container in the back yard might happen, I’m still not sure how I will get it back there

 

Why would it take so long to get a tax return?

I had to pay this year for the first time in my life.. It was a major shock.

 

Mail in, and missing a signature didn’t help anything, on top of the govt being slow in general, on top of what was happening in the world at that time.
