So I have a 2017 with the 5.7 I have a Power Steering whine especially when the truck is cold - I have flushed the fluid from the reservoir like 4 times and it definitely has improved but still there . Not sure what the capacity of the whole system is so I may only be flushing a fraction of the fluid . Anyone know a decent way to change all the P/S Fluid ?

On a 2017? Have you had the rack and pinion looked at?

I have not had anything looked at - It has definitely improved with the fluid change I just need to find a way to flush the whole system and not just the reservior

If you have flushed 4 times, the fluid is good.

My 12 Tundra PS pump whined pretty good in cold weather until warmed up.

You ever figure this out? What kind of fluid did you use? I am having some noise when cold after replacing 155K mile old stock fluid.

I tried everything at first - I tired 3 or 4 different additives that did nothing , I finally ended up changing the fluid about 5 times by using a suction pump I use for my boat - I used Lucas Oil brand p/s fluid which did the trick after a few flushes . It helped that Lucas fluid is clear so I could tell when the fluid was completely changed .

Thanks. I changed a few more reservoirs worth then pulled the reservoir and cleaned it. Had a coating of black slime inside. Sprayed it out well with brake cleaner and got the screens clean. Seems to be much quieter now. I think 2-3 more times and most of the fluid should be replaced.
