That's good information and makes sense. I don't do good in the cold so it's something I will look into when this week is up. I just went out and placed some of that Tomcat Brand green rat and mouse poison on the ground inside of my tires and on top of the manifold cover.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It certainly is an issue that can be avoided with a little preventive measure.

    Tastefully enhanced...
How bright are they? Or, do they exceed your assumption when you bought them? They look sharp and IMHO, are the best profiled ditch light one could install and use...

just testing them out after install they were pretty damn bright in the daylight. It lit up my entire garage even with the sun out this morning. I’ll test them out later when it’s dark when I get home from work tonight.

waiting for my switch-pro to come in so I can fully install them..

Looks awesome. Any concerns re clearance while driving or opening the hood? Looks like you went with driving combo beam?

One switch relocated! Thought I had solder wire to extend the harness for the front facing camera and air compressor but oops....all out. Project will be for another time.

Not happy with the rear window harness I purchased. 42 inch length and it’s still too short. I DIDNT SPEND MONEY on a wire harness that still required to drill in your dash and center console. I would prefer to tuck and route my wires. So now I have to buy another harness to finish hiding that corner spot.

I would like to eventually relocate my back window button to this location or somewhere close. I do recall one of the harness manufacturers extending the the 42" to a longer length after hearing some complaints. I thought?

They extended it to 42 inches after the complaints. It was 36 or 38 if I remember. But it still requires cutting in dash and console. No thanks! I ordered another smaller harness from them. I’ll connect and tuck and hide.

I hope it works out for you. I have always wondered why they placed the window switch where they did? It doesn't make sense, but I guess that is why we have modifications.

Finally got around to installing black lug nuts and behind the grill amber lights. I know its dusty. Just got back from riding in the desert.

Got a battery back in it, can't wait to start it for the first time in almost 2 months later - it's still -15 here so gonna give the block heater some time. I work out of town for 3 weeks at a time and the last time I was home the battery was already dead dead. Tried a couple chargers, no luck, take it to Interstate Batteries and they took 2 days to get a charge back into it, and by that point I was already back on a plane to work.

Gonna check if I have an alternator diode issue this week, if not it's gotta be the aftermarket remote start I have that drains the battery.

So you have a new battery...or the old one charged up? Most of the time when they lose charge and freeze they are shot.

Old one - it likely froze but did not show any signs. I thought for sure it was toast but Interstate somehow got it back to full working order - they have a special charging system to bring it back from near zero charge. Even they figured it was toast, but for warranty replacements they have to try this last ditch system and it worked so I'll give it a try. My truck just doesn't get used enough, from now on it's either going to be plugged in to the block heater or the trickle charger.

I guess if I works it works. I would go with the trickle charger. My tundra started fine the other day at -33 no block heater, but never sat for three weeks either.

I've had this issue basically from day 1, I figure it must be the remote start system I had the dealer put on. Wasn't a problem before as either I was driving it a bunch or my wife liked to drive once or twice a week, but now she has her own truck and doesn't want to drive mine.

Installed my Scangauge tonight with the help of a 10 Barrel Apocalypse IPA. Install was super easy, all I did was remove the a-pillar plastic and guide the cable down to the obd2 port and done! Currently set up to monitor transmission pan and torque convertor temps, water temp, and inlet air temp. If anyone know how to monitor oil pressure or temperature please let me know!!!

Check the build link in my signature.
I bought the 42" and was able to get it routed. It was JUST long enough. Couple of pics of the routing I used are in my build thread.
