I just traded a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins, 4x4 in on a 2021 Crewmax 4x4 with a trail package. This is a hell of a change. Too many beeps and chirps, but I think I can get used to it. The ride is smooth and you can carry on a conversation driving down the road.

I'm combing through threads on ham radio installations.

I've found info on adding storage under the rear seat. (dumb oversight by designers)

I just realized that my Thule TracRac won't clamp to the top of the bed walls like it did on my Dodge. This one has the bed rail system and also has storage boxes on the sides, filling the dead space in the bed wall over and around the wheel well. There is no place for the clamps.

Does anybody know how to attach this rack to this truck?

You can probably contact Thule. They might have a base that is designed specifically for Tundra cleats. Since you bought the trail edition, the storage boxes are the extras with that package. You can always remove it if you does not suit your needs.

Don't be afraid to sell the factory rails and those 'trail' bins if they get in the way. It's easy to create custom rails out of uni-strut and unless you actually use the trail bins they just take up space.

But I like the trail bins. That's wasted space on most trucks anyway. It's a good place to put jumper cables and tools that stay in the truck. I'm sure Thule makes a rail that sits on the bed ledge.

What's the best option for center console organization?
