    Problem:
Got an electrical issue with my truck I think. When my truck is off, the fuel pump relay gives off a very loud whining sounds (its vibrating rapidly). Truck starts correctly and runs fine, if I remove the relay the sound goes away.

    Other info:
I have noticed every now and then the truck seems to turn over slower than others... typically when its been turned on and off within the last few minutes. But not sure that is related at all. I'm trying to diagnose the problem. I also recently installed led headlights and resistors.

    Attempted Solutions:
    - replacing the relay and it has the same problem
    - Unplugging headlights and the relay and still had a problem

    Maybe bad Fuel Pump?

    Check this site and confirm.

For grins, I’ve been perusing reviews on Denso Fuel Pumps lately and many Lexus vehicles in the same years from 1998-2004 share our same pump and they experienced similar problems as a few Tundra reviewers.

Thanks man, it went away randomly and a friend of mine pointed out that my connection on my battery is pretty bad and has some rust *facepalm* at this point I'm thinking the issue is I need to just swap out the battery connectors

These trucks are all well seasoned now. Wiring and tubing should be inspected and replaced as needed. Bad grounds or corrosion account for many of the issues encountered on here. Best of luck, hope that solved your problem.
