Tire Size Q (not will it fit)

    I currently have Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/70R18 tires, which have an overall diameter of 33.98” (or 33.7” using a converter) according to their website. However, when I measure with the tape measure they are about 32.5”. That’s a pretty big difference.

    Im looking at new tires, mostly 295/70R18, which are 34.3” or 305/70R18 which are 34.8”. How accurate are these specs or online tire size converters? Does 34.8” drop an inch or more like mine did when mounted? Can someone with those sizes measure your tire with a tape measure for me?

    This is on 18x9 wheels. Tires are around 35-40 psi depending on temp.
