Do you lose 'vehicle settings' menu with aftermarket HU?

    Eventually I'll replace the crappy sound system in my SR5. However there's a vehicle setting menu I'd like to keep.

    Do the aftermarket head units somehow allow control of these vehicle settings?

    If you add the iData Link Maestro RR you retain those options with most aftermarket stereos.

    Maestro RR. Just an FYI, most of the wiring in the kit will not be used during the install. Most of the functions go through the data cable that is in the kit. I will take a pic of the wiring that does not get used and post it for you.

    Nope. With the Maestro harness I can still access all of my oem settings on the headunit.

    Thank you for posting this question. I’m looking at upgrading my HU too and wondered the same thing. Appreciate the responses.
