What's the deal with super chargers for our motors? Do they not make them?

They used to. Not anymore due to connecting rods being weak for much boost on these engines. They handle a little fine though, so why a low boost option is not offered I don’t know. Probably just not enough people who would buy one to make it worth it. Some else may be able to explain further.

No you rookie! Thats ABS! Its for drain lines, not meant to hold pressure. PVC would be better but PVC is usually white. People lose man cards over stuff like this

They never made them for the 05-06 motors. Toyota came out with the vvt-i for those years and opted not to have the option.

A lot of guys were running small pulleys to get more boost and bending rods, then going to the dealerships like its a warranty problem. I don't think that influenced Toyota, they just didn't want to offer it with vvt-i. I have seen a supercharger from the 04 year adapted to run an a vvt-i motor, it is possible to do.

The Black Plastique used to make our OEM engine intakes is ABS.

Thats true, to be fair it should hold 5, 8, 15 psi no problem. A solid part like our intake could handle pressure but only sees vacuum.

This pro charger is like a supercharger and a turbo had a baby, never seen one of them.
