I’m trying to get an antenna cable from the cab to outside. Question: Is there a grommet somewhere in the floor I can pass the cable through to get to the outside of a Tundra 2020 SR5 Double cab .

yes, theres a round rubber grommet that is underneath the drivers seat towards the back. I passed my coax cable through there. It would be easier to feed the cable from underneath then stick your Hand under the carpet and grab the cable. that's what I did and it was super easy

Another grommet in the front passenger floor you can use.

And a grommet in the firewall with a nipple you can cut off and feed if you’re going off the hood instead of bed rail.

What radio are you putting in? I’ve got a kenwood 710 I need to install in mine but it’s too damn cold out to do anything now.

I wish I could do that, but I absolutely have to be able to fit into the garage. Non-negotiable.

well, i have no hope of ever fitting in a garage. our house was built in 1946 and the garage reflects that. just barely enough room for skis, bikes, camping gear and tools. parking garages are also a no no especially now that i have a pelican cargo box on the roof.

for the radio, i have two antennas. one is a comet SBB-1. it's flexible and about 15" tall. it's on the truck 98% of the time. the other one, when i need more reach, is a comet SBB-5 and is about 40". the SBB-5 is the trail antenna at least when there isn't any low hanging foliage...

I bet in my time I’ve drilled over 15-20,000 holes in top of trucks. Everybody always wants to freak out about doing it.
They always say “how can you stand drilling a hole in the roof of a new $90k truck”?
I tell them “Easy, it ain’t my truck” lol.
Once I did a $300k Peterbilt at the dealer and wasn’t until afterwards they found out the buyer hadn’t signed the paperwork yet. I told em I can’t put the slug back in the hole.

Nail biter for sure but take your time and use painters tape at drill point to minimize paint damage. Also blow off all metal chips when project is complete to eliminate potential rust stains on paint surfaces.
