OK, don't make fun of me... At least not at first, after the first few responses go a head..
Today when I got in and started the truck the ❗ light came on with the message, Maintenance Required Soon. It turned off after 10-15 seconds, was a solid light and didn't come back on. I assume this because I am within 150 miles from my next oil change, but just wanted to double check. TIA.

This is on my 2010 CM with the 5.7L in it... And if you're from AutoZone, yes it's 4 wheel drive and has its an automatic....

Yes, it is just a reminder light that comes on based on mileage- last time it was reset. Since most folks these days don't keep records of work done, when maintenance is needed....we have to have our autos tell us

Thanks guys, like I said I know I need the oil change in the next 150 miles, and that's what I figured. I appreciate it!

It also happens when the Toyota dealership does service on your truck and doesn't reset the system.

That light also comes on when your local service center is short on cash, so they send out a high frequency transmission aimed straight at your trucks PCM. Hacks, hacker, who's to tell :notsure::crapstorm::stirthepot:

My light went on just last week too. I had to read my owners manual to figure out how to turn it off. How often does it come on?

It comes on to remind you that there is a starving Dude just down the street who desperately needs to practice threading oil drain bolts back into the pan. Will you do your part to help a starving oil monkey???

Oh well, another useless nanny. I change my oil & filter every 3K miles and check the air filter every other oil change.
