Unfortunately this isn't transmitting data currently, only charging. Tested with a USB stick direct works ok, use it with the port extension and no longer works.

Finished the camera install wiring. Got one of these to try out:
    s-l400.jpg

Here's the connector I clipped and re-pinned into the Tundra's original 20-pin connector (the one with the steering wheel controls). This is for Speedo & Reverse signal.
    IMG_20210210_182327.jpg

Moved 1 wire from pin 3 over to pin 2 on the 20+8 pin to 28 pin adapter, this is for reverse signal into the radio.
    PhotoGrid_1613093836091.jpg

Found these little 1 amp 6v+ relays and ordered a couple off eBay to try out (camera is .25 amp). Sitting on a dime for size reference.
    IMG_20210206_150321.jpg

Built a small adapter harness using the above 6v relay and an RCA I clipped from a <$3 adapter also off eBay.
    IMG_20210211_153808.jpg

Got it working for now, I may want to redo it with a different camera later.

What, sanding the green off the gauges? Hell that’s older than these trucks are. I think either @Rheywood456 or @Casper421 was the first to document it around here.

It's now on my trucks to-do list. I also want to make the steering controls match, which requires swapping LEDs.

I did it a year or so ago and every time someone posts a pic of green gauges it seems foreign to me. The white looks so much more at home in these trucks.

while you ladies enjoyed getting semi's over a bunch of beer (I kinda did too). I went to my Local retail therapist aka 4WP. Went in just for an arb recovery strap and some shackles and came out with a Warn EVO 10 vr and some shackles. Sooo I ended up spending 10x as much as planned, so what, now I can pull myself out too. For anyone who has a BFF bumper your going to have to find somewhere else to relocate the control box. Mine is classily zip tied in for now but there is a good spot to drill some holes and get it in their right if you use one of your light housings, probably passenger side. For the Warn it's a minimum of two m4 bolts, but I'm sure someone has a better spot. I think the Smitty built winches can be relocated on the winch itself but I'm not sure. Quick pic for now but I will get a better one on here in a bit

    A+ for the winch
    D- for picture quality :D

What are you running up front for suspension? I have the same bumper and I'm curious if adding the winch will make you sag, or make it ride rougher. I'm running 650lb coils and didn't feel any difference in ride quality when I added the bumper. I've been wanting to pick up a Smittybilt winch but they have really shot up in price since COVID started.

I am planning to bypass the factory amp, but I am not sure where it is. I though that I read that it was right behind the stereo but all I see is the vent back there. I started looking in the manual and I see that there was a stereo sold without an amp. Could this be what I have? I have concerns about the wiring harness I ordered.

Depends on the truck and stereo. Some are below the factory head unit, others are near the backseat for some reason.

I knew the access cab had them in the back but I had not heard about that on the double cab.

From what I can tell one of the two stereo harness goes down the driver side dash frame and joins up with a larger bunch of wires and the passenger side harness does the same.

First off there you go better pictures as promised. Second, I have the Toytec ultimate coilovers with 650lbs Eibach springs. Although it probably weighs a good 40 lbs I didn’t notice any sag. Also I had to take the bumper off in order to slide the winch in and honestly it’s was worth trouble and it made it a lot easier to install everything. And it’s really not to bad to do by yourself or at least my 5’10” 155lbs ass.

If you have the JBL logo on your front door speaker grills then your amp is behind the rear seats.

Brake time! Everything has been going pretty well, but ran into a snag with the rear speed bleeders, the 33mil length is to short for me to trust making a good seal. So I ordered some 35mil that should show up late Monday if I’m lucky.
Fronts are all wrapped up besides bleeding.
I don’t know why, but I thought the rear cylinders were going to be a pain, that’s been the easiest part so far.
Tomorrow I will try to wrap up the rear and ready for bleeding

I meant the green and white pattern that empty_lord and I are running. I definitely didn't come up with sanding the gauges. My bad

Nice work. Wished I had turned my drums but nobody close does them anymore. Yours look sweet!

I found the drive was much smoover after the paper removal on both front and back. Called BS on it when doing readings about wobble and shimmy with rust/corrosion bits from wheels. Sure enough it works!

Maybe wire wheel that rust inside and the little slot around around the perimeter.
