    I have a slight issue with rust on the rear of the rear leaf brackets.. I'm going to lift my rig and wondering if i go with rear shackle extensions will this go in place of the rear leaf brackets?
    Thanks guys

    Just checked i don't think they make rear shackles.... sorry still new.

    Dorman makes replacement leaf spring shackles. They're available. You could also look at Japanese Truck Dismantling out in California. They have frame parts and they might even have the shackles.

    That bump stop bracket might be available as well. You are missing the bump stop, however....

    welcome aboard!

    Correct. Drill out the old one and install the replacement. The Dorman unit comes with hardware, IIR...

    I'm still new to the tricks of the trade. Unless my research is wonky part number 722-010 refrences a mazda... while when i look up for a 2000 Tundra i'm pulling up part number. 722-037/722-038. Can you verify that 722-010 fits our trucks. Reason i ask is that 722-010 is about 27 bucks while the 722-037/038 are about 100 earch lol.

    Those brackets I found were just reference. I might have copied/pasted the wrong one in there. My apologies.

    The Dorman 722-037 is the right side and the 722-038 is the left side. I found them on Amazon for about 85 bucks each.

    Japanese Truck dismantling in Cali has these for 65.00 a piece;

    I would go with factory used, but that's me... Spend 10 bucks on good hardware and you'll be ahead of the game...:thumbsup:

    You have some scaling on the frame, but I wouldn't call it terrible (take a look at my rebuild from last summer and you'll see what I dealt with) It's well worth getting under the truck and cleaning it and putting some type of protection on the frame, but it all boils down to what you want out of the truck and how long you'll be the curator of it...

    Make sure to check out the forward frame rails where they are boxed (adjacent and just forward of the transmission cross mount)

    You'll get lots of crap collecting in those areas.

    There's no shortage of threads and discussions on here about the frame and all it's woes/fixes

    thank you so much! I plan on doing a corrosesal to the underside where the rust is present once the weather warms up. This will be done when i pull off the old brackets; install a 2" block in the rear and new bump stops, and a 3" spacer up front. I'm planning on 33" tires this coming summer. I'm going to make this a long time runner

    The Diff Drop isn't necessarily a "need", more of a "want" or don't want. I'm lifted 2" in front and chose not to use a diff drop. Once you lift the front end you can look at the angle of your CV axle and see if you would feel more comfortable with a diff drop. It's not something you have to decide now.

    Alright sounds good. I'm aiming for the 3" front and 2" rear. I'll get the forum posted. Going to make some videos of how i bought the truck and then all the maintenance items and mods i will be adding on. Just going for a very nice daily driver full maintenance and what not.
