Does anyone know of any harm that will come to my front diff if driving in 2WD only after having one front CV blow out. It blew apart at the bottom hub assembly so I'm not concerned with the wheel bearing. Just the front diff. I cut the inside boot and just pulled the entire thing out then sealed the boot back up with a ty-rap. So nothing can get in there. Should this limp me by until I can get a new one?

So your inner CV axle hub is still in the front diff? And by limp you by, you mean get you home? you will likely be able to get home like this, but I wouldn't drive around for days or weeks this way. The axles are available at Napa and other parts stores for $80-100 bucks. I would replace before driving around.
