I op for the premium too, but I always wondered if it was worth the difference.

Its worth it if you don't have a bed cover. I went with the regular line-x since I have the backflip mx4 and the bed won't see the sun/uv rays much.

Two reasons, it ensures the area under the bolt heads is protected and it keeps your bolts from curing to the rest of the bed. If you ever have to remove a bolt that was just sprayed over, you have to cut the bedliner from around the head before you can remove the bolt. If you change hardware and it has a different footprint, it could leave an area of un-sprayed bed visible.
Is it a deal breaker if they don't remove the bolts (and existing bed lights if applicable) no. But it will cost you nothing extra to ask and it would be the better option.

I guess something that I have never considered. In all my years of owning trucks I’ve never once removed a bed bolt.

I personally prefer the BedRug but if going with the spray in...Go with https://www.bulletliner.com/
The co-originator and chemist of Line X, Claudio Burtin, sold Line X, waited a bit due to legal stuff, and started Bullet Liner. Supposedly better than Line X and has better UV stability. Check out Tacoma World.com for some decent reviews of Bullet Liner. Makes sense to me:thumbsup:

If you are a DIY.............check this site out. Based right here in Aurora, CO. I've seen several rigs not only bed lined but completely covered in Durabak! >>>>> https://www.durabakcompany.com/

The local truck place to me uses a product called tko liner and it has held up extremely well. The owner of the place does great work and I would give him my business all the time. Referred a bunch of people and they couldn’t be happier. The line x shop close to me had an owner that I didn’t care for, was very arrogant and didn’t want to answer any questions so I went with the tko and am very satisfied

RobertD pretty much sums it up perfectly. I work in collision repair and we remove beds all the time. Here's the real rub, when we remove the bedliner to get the bolts out, we then after repairs go have the liner resprayed. AKA adding another 50-75lbs of material in the bed. Lowering load capacity and fuel mileage by having to lug that extra weight around all the time. Will also add about 3 days to the repairs, once you figure in taking it to the shop, them doing the respray, picking the vehicle back up.

And on my last 2 tundra's with liners sprayed in them over the bolts, the rear two bolts took the most abuse dragging things into and out of the bed and rubbed the coating off of them over time. It's already happening on my 3rd one also. Bought the trucks with the liners already sprayed in.

Luckily our bolts are reusable, the blue oval trucks their bed bolts are one time use.

I had Vortex sprayed in both my trucks. Cheaper than Line X and just as durable that I can tell for regular home owner work. I am not constantly throwing rocks and the like around the bed.
It has a lifetime warranty and I trust the fella that installs it.
