2018 Battery Replacement

I have to replace the battery on my 2018 as it is bad and has issues when it's cold out. Other then dropping in the new one is there anything I have to do? I know some newer vehicle you have to set something for the computer for having charge correctly. I just want to make sure there is no extra step I have to do.

 

I did on my 05, the booster diode for a AGM battery. I don't think you have to on newer models.

I had a Oreilly AGM platinum battery (rebranded Deka Intimidator)

 

The newer vehicles still need a diode if you run an AGM battery.

I am not replacing with a agm. I am replacing it with a regular lead acid battery. I'm am not running any additional electric add-ons so no real need.

I just wanted to mow if there is any additional procedure I have to do when replacing the battery like on some newer vehicles.
