Those look fantastic on that truck...

 

Ended up getting the GX460 wheels. Unfortunately the Lexus center caps are slightly different than Toyota. (Shorter and slightly smaller diameter.) I’m going to buy a cheap set of Toyota center caps, and take the chrome emblem off and put on these. Im happy with the look .though

Yup, they’re +25 rather than standard +15 so sit in 10 mm closer

I had Pizza Cutters on an 87 Toy P/u and they looked like this. I enjoyed those tires and they reminded me of Sponge Bob.

 

With the help of a Costco sale and much research, I finally got the tires to go with the wheels. Ended up with LT245x75x17 Bridgestone Revo 3 (4 lbs lighter than Michelin Agilis). Overall the weight of the wheels and tires are about the same as a stock setup. Went with the LTs to get extra protection on dirt and gravel roads. Skinny tires to minimize the hit on gas mileage. I'm surprised how 9/10s of an inch more tire diameter fills the wheel well. Slightly more feedback in the steering (good) and slightly stiffer ride (Costco inflated the tires to 45 lbs...maybe I should take out 5 lbs?), not bad at all. Full disclosure, the front end is 3/4 inch higher than stock.

Amazing how a phone camera hides all the dirt and paint imperfections.

I love skinnies (I run 255/80/17s on those same wheels). LT tires need to run higher PSI...I wouldn't run them lower than 45...I run mine at 50.

2016 Tacoma TRD Pre-Runner wheels, 1.25" spacers, on 265/70-R17 BF Goodrich. Tires are just about flush with the stock fender flares.

I'd love to have the 1st gen Tundra BBS 18's but those are out of budget.

ose spacers they just bolted up with no modifications to the studs? What brand did you get?

 

Can't remember the brand, bought them off Amazon for my 3rd gen 4Runner then swapped them over when I got the Tundra. No modifications to the hub, they're hub centric. The front studs on the Tundra are too short to have full depth engagement on the nuts, OEM stud ends about 3/8" from the outer lip of the nut, but I installed them with Loctite blue and a torque wrench. Rear studs are no problem, full thread engagement.

I want to eventually put the 18" BBS otherwise I would put 10-15mm longer studs. Check nut torque every time I rotate the wheels and haven't had an issue. Manufacturer suggested checking torque after about 100 miles of driving after initial install.

Those are my favorite Gen-1 Wheels.
I was considering them, but to maintain the factory overall tire radius/diameter you have to go down in rubber size, so maybe ride / load carrying suffers?
I would also guess 18" rubber is pricier than 17".
They sure look cool though . . . decisions, decisions.

 

Yea, I'm still pissed I passed up a 17 inch set that came on FJ Cruisers. They were local and I didn't pull the trigger fast enough. I think the Ivan Stewart 16 inchers are my favorite FGT specific wheels...

Yup, them's the ones. They are my dream wheels, but low on the priority totem pole right now. That's a very good price too. I just spent about that much on new tires for the 17's just a couple weeks back.

 

Put some FJ/4runner rims on. The OEM ones were rotting out.

 

Was rolling my stock rims for 12yrs. They still looked good.
Kinda sad I had to say good bye to her but my new-to-me 17 is so much nicer.

 

I still think these look great.

Here is my 05 Sequoia with the Method 701. I also have an 05 Tundra build going and will post soon too.
However I thought some might like to see what the rim looks like since both are so similar!
