Has anybody had success in installing 2 Skar vd 10 d4 shallow mount subs in a 2016 toyota crewmax? Mounting depth on these subs are 4.41 inches. Most boxes I find are a mounting depth of 3.75 inches. Have found a box with 4.5 mounting depth but worry about the surround hitting back of seat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

An option to increase mounting depth is mounting offsets for the seats. There s a ton of leg room, so I think that part would work out ok. Probably entail some custom fabrication through. Or you could do like me, and just remove back seats.:hattip:

Haven't heard or seen anything about offsets but does sound logical. I will have to look into that! Thanks

I can only say is that my Kenwood 10's have a 4.5" top mount depth and are mounted in a Tech12Volts box for my Crewmax and I had no trouble fitting it back there. Although, I did have to cut a relief in the big rubber mat on the back wall. I too was concerned about the seats interfering with the subs, but they clear no problem.

Thank you. That's what I was worried about the surround hitting the back seat.
