13 DC KEY FOB

Hi I just recently got a 13 DC. It only came with a valet key, I went to Walmart and got new keys for it. My problem is key fobs. I purchased 2 fobs and went to program as per all the sites and youtube. But it's not working. I went to a couple site and checked the vin number and all said keyless entry. Question is am I doing something wrong or do I have to go to a locksmith to have them programmed?

If I remember correctly when i had my 2013, most of those do it yourself programming links don't work. You have to have a certain Fob with a certain code (G I think) on the back of it and have a locksmith or dealer program it.

 

Thanks what I was thinking since I think I wore out my door hinges opening and closing it so many times try to program.

 

You need a locksmith or Toyota Techstream.

The days of the button smashing and door opening secret code are gone.
