Spent about 3 hours last night to wash, clay and wax the ol’ gal. Before I was finished dust and such was already collecting on the paint

But she’s all clean and anxious to get cut up tonight!

Plan is to cut and weld up the CMC tonight, and get started on the front suspension time permitting.
Tomorrow AM wrap up whatever suspension work is left, make bumper spacers, and then haul over to the tire shop to get the wheels and tires mounted. Since the shop isn’t open long on Saturday rear shocks will likely go on after the wheels and tires.

Oh I almost forgot, taking off the tube steps as well. Lol. So if anyone needs a set of black OEM Toyota tube steps, let me know

 I did that........... once. My truck still has DV on it from Nov. I'm eager to see your wheels. I was seriously considering the same ones but got an offer from OMF that I couldn't pass up.

Hey Mike what tires are on that? What’s the wear like? Unlike pretty much everyone else on here, I don’t hate the OEM Michelins and, because I pretended the BFT was 4wd, I’ll need to replace mine soon....

My truck rode really well on those tires. The ride quality began to suffer as the modifications started. Bigger tires, IMO, is one of the biggest detractors to ride quality.

Lol I texted @Thesandaddict while waxing and he reminded me how he’s putting the college detailers through school

I’ll get pics up once they’re mounted and on  I too am anxious to see what they look like on! They’re a cool color. Looks like MGM in the light, but in pictures seem to appear a lighter shade. They’re cool looking for sure!

My best guess is they’re ~8-9 months old. Toyota certified means it got new tires when the previous owner bought it.

Oh yeah, rides great right now. I am eager to start ruining the comfort

I have a feeling that color is gonna be amazing on a black truck. And, ruining the ride just means better shocks and more time playing with valving. Wish I had valve stack #s that I could share but I still need to play with mine a little bit. Not high on the priority list right now but maybe this summer, if people would just stop calling and hiring me to work for 'em, I might be able to get some of my own stuff done. :p

Hahaha. Man work always is getting in the way! But it also pays for stuff soooo there’s that.

It’ll be awhile before I can get some nice suspension, I’ll be rocking the billies for some time. Probably going to help my fiancé get better suspension for her rig before mine.

But valving numbers would be clutch! Everyone is different, but could yield a solid starting point. I’ve been toying with the idea of going through accutune so it’ll be out of the box valved better than stock.

Accutune would be solid. That's why I wish I had some #s as a baseline suggestion for where you can start since you can order with any valving you choose. Off the shelf, I don't think there's a flutter (not 100% sure though). I think a flutter would help a lot with the small stuff and maybe washboard. The more I think about it, the more Accutune seems like a wise investment.

Agreed. A little more coin initially but a better starting point. I don’t have the tools or know how (yet) to rip apart, rebuild and revalve suspension so I’m paying someone one way or another.

Nerf bars are off, all 4 wheels on the ground.

@tundra_20 is here, going to mimic his bumper spacers and then off to the tire shop :woot:

Yup. Metal supply store had a chunk of 1/2” aluminum. Was under $15 bucks
